Koni is an experienced human resource professional who has been with Act for Kids since 2012. As a graduate of the Australian Defence Force Academy, Koni started her early career as a Logistics Officer in the Royal Australian Air Force performing various roles for more than a decade.
Discovering a passion and talent for working with people, Koni later changed career paths into the field of human resources. Her HR career includes extensive experience in the public service sector in both defence and health before joining Act for Kids.
As a member of the Act for Kids executive team, Koni enjoys the opportunity to shape strategy and nurture a culture that is safe, inclusive and high performing. If our team members are happy and can work at their best, then this has a positive flow on effect to the kids and families we work with.
One of Koni’s many highlights at Act for Kids has been when the organisation was awarded Gold in the 2019 HRD Magazine Employer of Choice Awards in the 99-400 employee category, as well as recognition as a top performer in the areas of Leadership, Work-Life Balance and Health and Wellbeing. To cap off a great professional year she was also named on the HRD HR Hotlist for 2019.
